i like. could be a tad more focused though, or does your camera produce really soft images?

Not exactly. There were a few factors that caused that soft foccus (good eye by the way). First I was using an ASA100 inside without a flash, which of course means a wide open apeture (f2.1 if I recall correctly). So the depth of field was quite shallow. On top of that the shots I took in the casino were "run and gun" because casinos actually aren't too keen on people taking pictures inside the for some reason so I was trying to keep the camera equipment as out of sight as possible. Add to that me trying to caputre that moment when he was oh so tenderly caressing his chips, and well, my focus wansn't perfect. All the same I liked the image so I printed it. Cheers!

Regardless of the focus, I still like this a lot. Sometimes it's the moment that matters most and you caught it. His expression is amusing, like he's laughing at someone but keeping his head in the game so to speak.

As for running out of chips, unless those are $500 each it looks like he's about to lose his throne...

Thanks for the comment mate! What you can't tell in the low res photo posted here on the web is those are actually $100 chips, and that stack started out pretty much full. Since this guy didn't strike me as a particularly high roller, I wonder how much of his life (at least in terms of hours worked to get the money) got left on that table that night. Cheers!
